Train operations on the Konkan Railway route were disrupted once again on Wednesday due to water flooding a tunnel in Pernem, Goa. Officials reported that several trains had to be canceled and some rerouted, leaving many passengers stranded at various railway stations.
Goa has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the past three days. Although the intensity of the rain decreased on Wednesday morning, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert, predicting extremely heavy rainfall.

In Himachal Pradesh, light rain caused the closure of 28 roads in various regions. Officials reported on Wednesday morning that eight roads were closed in Mandi, six in Shimla, five in Sirmaur, four in Kangra, three in Kinnaur, and two in Kullu district.
Impact on Konkan Railway:
Baban Ghatge, Deputy General Manager of Konkan Railway Corporation, stated that train services on the Konkan Railway route have been affected since 2:35 PM on Tuesday due to water flooding the Pernem tunnel between the Madure and Pernem section.
